With over 200 years existence the Lodge has a wealth of history much of which will be of interest to Masonic researchers. Throughout that time various members have chronicled the Lodge history and these are reproduced here.

The first history was done by Bro Abbott at the time of the Centenary and recently a copy of this book has come into the possession of the lodge.

The definitive work was the 'Illustrated History of the Lion and Lamb Lodge' which was researched and written by Bro Hugheran and was published by Bro George Kenning just after the Centenary. It is a work so comprehensive that it is not able to produce it here. There is, however, a copy lodged in the Library at Freemasons Hall for anyone interested in reading about the first 100 years.

Most recently our present DC has written a paper which was presented in open Lodge in October 2000 entitled 'Freemasonry in the 18th Century and the Emergence of the Lion & Lamb Lodge'.

In 1966 Bro C. McColl Botley researched and wrote a paper on 'Lion & Lamb - The Origin of the Name'.

In 1981 our then Secretary wrote a lenghty paper bringing the history of the Lodge up to date and entitled it 'History and Hi-Lights of the Lion & Lamb Lodge No192'. He also produced a shortened version for inclusion in our Bi-Centenary Brochure entitled 'Lion & Lamb Lodge No192 '.

At a recent Lodge Meeting on 4th October 2006, the Lion & Lamb Lodge hosted 'Dermott 2006' as part of the celebrations of the Association of Atholl Lodges. A presentation was given by the Worshipfull Master on:

'A Short History of the Lion & Lamb Lodge'. This can now be accessed by clicking on the above link.
