Being of the profession, he made them himself, the 1st Degree Board being true to type (along the lines of Harris's Tracing Boards) with some individual variations, although the 3rd degree is of his own design.

Both are unique.

They are the ones that we use today standing folded and measuring 2ft 6" by 3ft.

They are opened for each degree, lying on the floor in the centre of the Lodge, an impressive 3ft by 6ft.
