This Bible was the original Bible of the Lodge being presented at the consecration of the Lodge by Bro. Hunter and Bro. Billington. The Lodge Number was at that time No258. It has survived the ravages of time tucked away at the bottom of the Lodge Box. It is decorated on the spine with embossed Masonic symbols, although some of these are now indistinct. There are also embossed levels on the back and front covers.

This Bible can be seen open on a pedestal in the life-size portrait of Peter Thompson which hangs in the Museum at Freemasons Hall in Great Queen Street.

What is more special about this Bible is that was printed in 1598. This was during the reign of Queen Elizabeth Ist, and predates the King James Authorised Version.
